How to Take Generic Symbicort
Take Generic Symbicort exactly as prescribed by your healthcare professional.
Typically used twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart, as directed
Shake the inhaler well before each use
Prime the inhaler before first use, or if it hasn't been used for several days, following the instructions provided with the device
Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after each dose, without swallowing the water, to help reduce the risk of oral thrush
Do not stop or change your dose without speaking to your doctor, even if your symptoms improve
Keep a separate fast-acting reliever inhaler on hand for sudden symptoms, unless your doctor has advised otherwise
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, then continue with your normal dosing schedule. Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed one.
